THE McGOWAN FAMILY - 4 GENERATIONS OF PECAN FARMERS

What started in the 1990s with George and Brian McGowan planting a few pecan trees has grown into a four-generation family tradition. Though both George and Brian have passed, their legacy continues through Matt, who now runs the farm with the same dedication and entrepreneurial spirit that started it all.

Matt’s 12-year-old son, Jase, is right by his side — always eager to work and a vital part of the operation. It’s not just a family farm; it’s a community effort. Friends and loved ones come together year after year to help with prepping, picking, and packing.

Behind the scenes, Lori (Mimi) cooks all of our flavored and roasted pecans, while Jessica and Saylor pitch in wherever they’re needed. Every member of the family plays a role in making 4M Pecan Co. what it is today.

Even after losing nearly 300 trees to Hurricane Helene, our roots run deep, and our determination is stronger than ever. We’re proud to continue growing high-quality pecans, sharing our family’s passion, and keeping this legacy alive for generations to come.
