There’s just something special about a homemade dessert, especially one that’s simple to make and brings everybody running to the kitchen! Patsy’s Blueberry Crunch is one of those recipes that’s perfect for sharing with family and friends, whether you’re gathering for Sunday supper, hosting a summer get-together, or just looking for something sweet to enjoy at home.
Made with juicy blueberries, a buttery golden topping, and plenty of chopped pecans, this dessert comes together with just a handful of ingredients. As it bakes, the butter and cake mix create a deliciously crisp, golden topping while the blueberries get warm and sweet underneath. And those pecans? They add just the right amount of crunch!
The best part is how easy it is to prepare. No complicated steps or long list of ingredients here. Just layer everything in a baking dish, pop it in the oven, and let it bake until golden brown.
A Little Something Sweet for the Table
Patsy’s Blueberry Crunch is the kind of dessert that feels right at home on a Southern table. Serve it warm straight from the dish, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. We especially love how the pecans bring a little something extra to this simple dessert. At 4M Pecan Co., we know a good pecan can make a favorite recipe even better, and this one is no exception. 🌰🤎

-
Pour the blueberries into a long Pyrex baking dish and spread them out evenly.
-
Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the blueberries.
-
Spread the dry yellow cake mix over the top of the blueberries.
-
Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix.

Cut the butter into slices and arrange them across the top of the pecans.

A Few Tips from Our Kitchen
-
Drain those blueberries well. This helps keep excess liquid from making the dessert too runny.
-
Spread the butter evenly. Try to distribute the slices across the top so the cake mix has a chance to bake into that golden, buttery topping.
-
Make it extra special. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a simple dessert that feels like a treat!
From our family farm to your family table, we hope Patsy’s Blueberry Crunch brings a little extra sweetness to your next gathering. Happy baking, y’all! 🤎
